The Mineira Company of Promotions - Prominas was established in 1982 to administer the first large convention center in Minas Gerais. The Convention Center Israel Pinheiro da Silva - the Minascentro - had been established shortly before, through Decree 21226 of February 27, 1981.

In 2003, Prominas also began to manage Expominas Belo Horizonte. And in 2007, to meet the goals of the State Government of potentiation of Tourism and Business Events in Minas Gerais, Prominas joined the staff of the Development Company of Minas Gerais - Codemig aiming to gain events for Expominas Araxá and Expominas Juiz de Fora.

In December 2010, signed an agreement with the State Secretariat of Tourism of Minas Gerais - SETUR and in partnership, now managing the Minas Gerais Area- which works as an embassy in the capital of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
